Academy and Masters teams announced for 75th National Championships
Congratulations to the players selected for the Academy and Masters teams to compete at the 75th National Championships being held in Ashburton.
These events are always hotly contested and give players an opportunity to show their indoor bowling wares to the nation.
Both sides are divided into Northern and Southern Zones.
They are competing once again for the Sam Henderson Memorial Trophy (Academy) and the Delwyn Hughes Trophy (Masters).
The Northern Zone won both events last year, the Southern Zones will be looking to reverse that result and are sure to have a boost from the traditionally boisterous ''home crowd''.
Play will commence on Wednesday after section play of the Triples.
There will first be a celebratory event marking the occasion of ''The Nationals'' reaching their 75th year and Diamond Jubilee.
