It is with great sadness that the NZ Indoor Bowls Executive advises the indoor bowls community, that our Administration Officer, Helen Stallard, passed away on Tuesday in Waikato Hospital.
Helen joined the NZIB team in May 2020, under contract from Bowls NZ, and had an immediate impact on the administration of our sport. In the short time we have known Helen, she had developed a strong working relationship with members of the Executive and her honest and forthright approach in the administration of our sport will be sorely missed.
Helen could best be described as strong in character and was prepared to offer her opinion if she did not agree with the direction being taken. Helen was a well-respected member of the team and someone who always had the best interests of our sport at heart.
We offer our sincere condolences to David and the family on this sad occasion. Farewell and RIP Helen.
