The NZ Henselite Singles and 1-5 Year Singles will be kicking off the Super Weekend tonight at 6pm, with four rounds to be played this evening and three rounds tomorrow morning.  North Island representatives Tim Veale and Jason Parker head the field, with Jeff Stuart and Dylan Foster being the ones to watch.  After Matthew Burke's semi final performance in the National Singles, he is an obvious favourite for the 1-5 event, however we see many familiar faces return who have no doubt further developed their game in the past year.

The Mixed Pairs and Fours commence at 12pm on Saturday with two cracker fields.  Defending champions Ashley Diamond and Sheree Holmes are back for the pairs, with Paul and Carol Wright ready to take them on a third time.  North Wellington's team of Grant Rayner, Dale Rayner, Jess Moffat and Jeff Stuart were just one bowl away from the Mixed Fours title in April so will be determined to make it happen this time 'round.  It is a star studded field, and it will be exciting to see who claims the top spot.

To conclude the event will be the 1-5 Year Pairs and Masters Fours on Sunday morning, 8am.  It is great to see family teams combine for the 1-5 Year Pairs, and if this event's history is anything to go by, that is the winning formula.  Graham and Jan Low have the opportunity to add the 2022 Masters Fours to their 2021 Mixed Fours win, although they have the defending champions to go through first - Frank McKenna, Mark Andersen, Chris Roberton and Ted Gallen.
