North Wellington are the 2014 Welch Trophy winners. They held off a strong challenge from Tauranga and Ashburton over the closing stages, and cemented the win with a good showing in the final pairs.
North Wellington finished with 107 points, Tauranga 100.5 and Ashburton 94. They were equal with Tauranga on 9 points from the pairs, but already had a good lead going into the final round.
Avon Compton was the most successful player of the tournament with 23 points.
