The NZIB Executive Meeting held on Saturday 13 June conducted a review of the remaining events scheduled for the current season and the following amendments to the 2020 Events Calendar were confirmed.
As a result of the earlier decision to waive affiliation fees for the 2020 season and the corresponding need to reduce event expenses, the review concluded it was necessary to make a one-off change to the criteria for the Henselite Champion of Champion Singles event and introduce Zone Finals similar to the Mixed Pairs event. The 8 regional winners will contest the national final in a round-robin the same weekend as the Mixed Pairs event in mid-September.
N.B. This article has been updated to advise a change of date for the North Island vs South Island event.
